Ta’ Bistra

Ta’ Bistra is the largest set of catacombs outside Rabat and forms an important paleochristian burial complex. The site contains rock-cut tombs arranged along galleries and reflects the burial practices of communities living in late Roman Malta. Its location and surviving features make it an important counterpart to the better-known catacombs around Rabat.
