Ħaġar Qim and Mnajdra

Ħaġar Qim and Mnajdra form a remarkable prehistoric temple complex overlooking the sea and the islet of Filfla. Built between the fourth and third millennia BC, the monuments demonstrate sophisticated architecture and an understanding of the movement of the sun. Their monumental façades, carved stone features and carefully planned chambers offer important evidence for the beliefs and communities of prehistoric Malta.
